Phillip & Allison Warran's Wedding Cake

On the 2nd of October, Anton & I had the great privilege of attending our friend Phil Warran's marriage to the beautiful Allison Beard.My wonderful friend & business partner, Sari Wotawa made a glorious chocolate mud cake for them as a wedding gift.

Not one to miss out on an opportunity, I decided that it would be a good idea to practice shooting the cake in preparation for the wedding we are photographing later in the month.

I had great fun putting our 50mm lens to the test and I think that that the results speak for themselves. At one point I even made Anton stand on a chair to get the topview photo's :-)

I think think that of the topview photo's, it was better to have the actual flowers the focus rather than the petals, but have posted both versions up. If anyone has any feedback, I would love to hear what your thoughts are and anything that I could have done to improve the shots.
