Power Station

A few weeks ago a friend and I wondered over to the old White Bay Sydney Power Station during its open day to snap a few pix of an icon I have driven past on numerous occasions but never had the motivation to break into. Well this time was different! Except we had permission and so did about 2000 other people. For the first time in 30 years it was open to the public and photographers alike. The place was swarming with photographers with all range of experience and gear ranging from iPhones and point and shoot to medium and large format cameras. To be honest I think the outside of the building was more interesting than the interior but there are a couple of brilliant dials and decaying monitoring equipment that is just too much fun to not take pics of.
