Collecting a road in Bondi

Down one of the main roads in bondi is a stretch of houses that are all so different. I drove past them every day for the past 13 years and saw them all as a strange little wonderful delight on the way out of the bubble. Each has its own architectural style, its own personality. It was fun to imagine who lives there and what they get up to in their daily lives. Why were some kept so neat while others seemed ramshackle? Why were there 4 brick buildings next to each other that are of identical building material and yet are so different in style. Like a mishmash family portrait where you arn’t sure if they are really related or just wearing the same cloths.

So one morning I rose early and did what any collector would do. I took a trip down that road one morning, sampling each of the curiosities as I went. Delighting in their individuality and fending off the occasional “Are you a realestate agent” questions from humans walking to work. Below is my houses collection.
