Miss Kayelle
A small portrait series I took of my friend Miss Kayelle a few weeks ago in her studio apartment.
For the idea, I wanted to create a portrait shoot with jewelry and utilizing her unique figure to highlight some of the pieces.
I, being the num-nuts I am, left my gobo silhouette pieces behind(the sheet metal cutouts of different shapes to create the light throws on the subject).
But being an industrious little gnome, I whipped up a rough as guts version with some paper, gaffa tape, and a pair of scissors.
I love how the images turned out, and I’m wanting to explore more of the light shapes on people to pull attention towards the little rays spilling onto the subject’s figure.
Obviously, I’m going to remember to bring the shapers next time… 🤣
