Slug and Cockroach

Sometimes I get an idea and it seems really good.
Sometimes…
The slug literally came from my garden out the front. I kept him in a little Tupperware with some soil and leaves for 3 days until I had everything I needed for my shoot. I trawled all the local op-shops for silverware and found out its illegal for some of them to sell butter knives because of some weird law. But I found a illegal butter knife seller in a back alley and then I was off to a swimming start.
Theme wise I’m going for a something creepy on a otherwise normal object. The plate, cutlery and toothbrush are all slightly used and a bit worn. I didn’t want to go for a fresh and clean look but something that looked almost like it happened by accident.

The last shot is just a self portrait because why not.
I might have to find someone with a nice bathroom and re-shoot that with someone prettier than me ;)
